This page is the official English translation of the Bulgarian original of the Cookie Policy of Optibg.com. In the event of any discrepancy between the two versions, the Bulgarian version shall prevail.

What is the site's approach to cookies

The code of Optibg.com does not set and does not use any cookies of its own — neither functional, nor statistical, nor tracking, nor third-party. The site performs no tracking whatsoever and does not use analytics systems. The only cookie that may appear during a visit to the website is a technical security cookie of the hosting provider Cloudflare — it is set automatically by the provider's infrastructure and is not controlled by the code of Optibg.com. It is described in detail in its own section below.

Optibg.com does not use similar technologies for storing or accessing information on your device (tracking pixels, ETags), with the exception of LOCAL STORAGE for keeping your preferred theme, described below. The possibility of introducing other such technologies in the future would be reflected in this policy.

There is no consent banner and no consent-management mechanism, because the website has no cookies that require consent — the site uses no tracking, analytics or advertising cookies, and the only cookie present is the strictly necessary security cookie of the hosting provider, described below, which under European law (Art. 5(3), second sentence, of Directive 2002/58/EC) is not subject to prior consent. The only remaining storage of information on your device is the optional remembering of your preferred light/dark theme in the browser's LOCAL STORAGE, described below — it requires no consent.

There are no users logged into an account, no comments, no comment forms, no subscriptions or other functionalities that could generate cookies.

Remembering the light/dark theme preference

The only exception to "nothing is stored" is entirely at your initiative: when you press the light/dark theme toggle (night mode), your choice is saved in LOCAL STORAGE — the internal memory of your own browser — under the name "optibg-theme" (values: light or dark). This is done solely so that the site shows your preferred theme on subsequent visits, instead of imposing the choice every time.

This storage does not require your consent, as it concerns processing strictly necessary for providing functionality explicitly requested by you pursuant to Art. 5(3), second sentence, of Directive 2002/58/EC — remembering the theme is a direct consequence of your pressing the button itself. The record contains no personal data, is not accessible to other websites, is not used for tracking, profiling or analytics, and remains entirely on your device. At any time you can delete it through your browser's settings (clearing site data), after which the site will simply return to the default light theme.

The hosting provider's cookie ("__cf_bm")

The website is hosted on the Cloudflare Pages platform. On every page load, the hosting provider Cloudflare may automatically set one technical security cookie named "__cf_bm" in the site's domain. It is not controlled by the code of Optibg.com — it is added by the provider's infrastructure itself and is an inseparable part of the delivery of the service.

The purpose of the cookie is entirely protective: it helps Cloudflare distinguish real human visitors from automated bots and protects the website from malicious actions and attacks. The cookie contains encrypted information needed for calculating the automated-traffic score and does not correspond to any user identifier or profile. It is not used for advertising, analytics, profiling or tracking of your behaviour.

Characteristics of the cookie:

  • Origin: first-party — it is set in the domain of the website itself, not by advertising or analytics networks;
  • Type: strictly necessary — technically impossible to switch off, as it is part of the content-protection and delivery mechanism;
  • Duration: up to 30 minutes after the last request (after that it expires automatically);
  • Cross-site tracking: none — a separate, independent cookie is generated for each website; Cloudflare does not track visitors from one website to another;
  • Accessibility: marked as HttpOnly and Secure — inaccessible to scripts in the page and transmitted only over a secure connection.

Since the cookie is strictly necessary for the protection and delivery of the website and performs no tracking, it does not require your consent pursuant to Art. 5(3), second sentence, of Directive 2002/58/EC. For this reason a consent banner is not necessary. If you nevertheless do not wish it to be stored, you can delete it through your browser's settings at any time — it will be set again on your next visit, but deleting it does not disrupt the website for you.

No third-party embedded content

The site does not embed third-party content (videos, social media posts, etc.). All references to such content are ordinary links leading to the respective external website. Nothing is loaded from external servers during your visit to Optibg.com, and for this reason no third-party cookies can be set.

Cookies from other websites

Your browser may contain cookies generated by other websites you have visited. They have no connection to Optibg.com. You can view, delete and manage cookies in your browser at any time through its privacy settings.
