Privacy Policy

This page is the official English translation of the Bulgarian original of the Privacy Policy of Optibg.com. In the event of any discrepancy between the two versions, the Bulgarian version shall prevail.

This Privacy Policy describes how Optibg.com handles information relating to visitors of the website. The site is built so that it does not collect, process or store personal data, except in the cases explicitly described below.

We do not collect personal data

Optibg.com does not collect personal data about its visitors — except in the cases explicitly described below (the processing of the IP address by the hosting provider and email communication initiated by you). The site does not use tracking systems, performs no analytics whatsoever and does not work with services of the type of Google Analytics, Matomo or any other similar system. Optibg.com does not knowingly collect personal data from persons under 16 years of age.

The only storage of information on your device happens at your explicit initiative: your light/dark theme preference is kept in the LOCAL STORAGE of your own browser, contains no personal data and requires no consent — details in the Cookie Policy. The only cookie that may appear during a visit is the technical security cookie "__cf_bm" of the hosting provider Cloudflare — it is not controlled by the code of Optibg.com, contains no user identifier, does not track across sites and requires no consent; full details are in the section dedicated to this cookie in the Cookie Policy, and Cloudflare's processing of the technical information associated with it is described below in the section "Hosting and IP addresses".

Any data we may receive is used solely and exclusively for the purpose of subsequent communication with our visitors regarding the enquiries they have submitted. As of the present date, Optibg.com does not send an email newsletter and does not collect email addresses for such a purpose.

Optibg.com does not send data (personal or of any other nature) to third parties, except for the technical processing by the hosting provider described below.

All resources are loaded internally

All fonts (including Google Fonts-based ones), images, scripts and other resources used by the website are loaded entirely internally — self-hosted by Optibg.com. Nothing is loaded from third-party servers. Optibg.com does not intentionally transmit personal data to analytics, advertising or tracking services. On every visit, the requests for loading the pages inevitably pass through the infrastructure of the hosting provider Cloudflare, which may process technical information from the request, including the IP address and related technical data — described in detail in the section "Hosting and IP addresses" below.

External links

The site does not embed third-party content. All references to external websites, videos or social media posts are ordinary links, not embedded content.

By following a link you leave Optibg.com and enter an external website that is not associated with Optibg.com and its team. By leaving Optibg.com, you expose yourself to the privacy policy (and the cookie policy) of the respective external website. Optibg.com and its team are not bound by that policy, do not endorse it and cannot be held liable for the content, practices or data processing of the external websites. We recommend that you familiarise yourself with the privacy policy of every external website before using it.

Email communication

If you send us an email at the contact email address of Optibg.com, indicated on the contact page, the data that will be sent depends entirely on you. We therefore ask you to review carefully what you send us. All data we receive through email communication initiated by you will be kept in the blog's email correspondence for as long as the discussion of the current enquiry continues, and for a maximum of 1 month after its conclusion. After that period, absent an explicit erasure request submitted before it expires, the correspondence will be deleted from the blog's mailbox. The data provided is used solely and exclusively for the purpose of answering the submitted enquiry.

The legal basis for the processing of email correspondence is our legitimate interest to answer your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and for keeping data in the address book — your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

The correspondence is stored and processed in the blog's mailbox, operated by a third party — an email service provider acting as a technical data processor; the personal address of the blog's owner is not disclosed.

Visitors have the right to state that they wish their contact data to be kept for possible future communications regarding the current enquiry. The keeping is done only in the address book of the blog's email. The blog's team reserves the right to ask respondents for consent to keep their name and email in the address book of the blog's email during the communication. At any time this consent may be withdrawn and the data deleted.

Optibg.com has social profiles on the social networks YouTube, Facebook and Pinterest. If you follow the blog on any of these social networks, your online behaviour may be tracked by the respective social network, and your data may be processed in accordance with the respective privacy policy of that social network. This website does not receive and does not use any data from your social media profiles.

We strongly advise you, before deciding to visit or follow the blog on any of the social networks, to familiarise yourself with that network's privacy policy. Otherwise, we advise you not to visit and not to follow any of our social profiles if you are unsure or do not wish to interact with us there with regard to your full privacy.

Hosting and IP addresses

The current version of Optibg.com is hosted on the Cloudflare Pages platform. On every visit to the website, the visitor's IP address is processed temporarily by Cloudflare's infrastructure for the purpose of delivering the content and protecting the site from malicious actions. Part of the same protection function is the technical security cookie "__cf_bm", which Cloudflare may set in the site's domain on every page load — it helps distinguish real visitors from automated bots, contains only encrypted technical information, expires after 30 minutes and is not used for advertising, analytics or tracking (details in the Cookie Policy). This data is used by Cloudflare and possibly by the team of Optibg.com solely and exclusively for the purpose of protecting the blog from unlawful actions by certain visitors and from potential hacking attacks. It is not used by Optibg.com for targeting, is not stored in any database of the blog and is not used to identify individual visitors.

The protection of this data is guaranteed in accordance with Cloudflare's privacy policy. The retention periods and the scope of storage of technical information by Cloudflare are defined in Cloudflare's published documentation. Optibg.com does not store IP addresses in its own databases, as described above.

To the extent Cloudflare processes personal data on behalf of Optibg.com in providing the hosting service, it acts as a data processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. For certain processing operations carried out by Cloudflare for its own purposes (for example network security and abuse prevention), Cloudflare may act as an independent controller in accordance with its published privacy policy. The transfer of service data to Cloudflare facilities in third countries, to the extent applicable, is safeguarded by the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and by Cloudflare's certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, as provided for in Cloudflare's current data processing agreement (DPA).

Under the GDPR, we hereby inform you that you have the following rights, and we respond to enquiries without undue delay and no later than within one month (Art. 12(3) GDPR):

Right to information — this page describes in detail what data we might receive and how we manage it. At any time you may send an additional question to the blog's email address;
Right of access — you may ask us to verify whether we hold data relating to you. To do so, send an email with the subject line "Information on collected personal data" to the blog's contact email address. You will receive in reply all data that may be available as email correspondence. Please note that the search is performed primarily against the email address from which you write to us; if you indicate another email address connected to previous correspondence, we will check against it as well. Where necessary, we may request additional information reasonably necessary for confirming your identity (Art. 12(6) GDPR). If we find no data, you will be notified and the email correspondence will be deleted immediately from the blog's email client;
Right to rectification — in case such data is stored, you may have it corrected. To do so, send an email with the subject line "Correction of personal data" to the blog's contact email address, specifying all data you wish to be corrected. You will receive a reply stating whether the correction was successful or why it was unsuccessful;
Right to erasure — send an email with the subject line "Request for erasure of personal data" to the blog's contact email address. If we find data relating to the email address from which you write to us, all data will be deleted and you will be notified by email. The final email will also be deleted after it is sent. If we find no data, you will be notified and the email correspondence will be deleted immediately from the blog's email client;
Right to restriction of processing — you may request restriction of processing in the cases provided for in the GDPR (Art. 18), regardless of whether you also wish the data to be erased. In the specific case of this website, the only possible data is email correspondence, which is why restriction of processing in practice usually means that the data is no longer necessary and should be erased — therefore you may also submit your request as an erasure request in the manner described above;
Right to object — the IP address is technically transmitted on every opening of every website and this cannot be stopped at protocol level. Its processing by the hosting provider Cloudflare for delivering the content and protecting the site is based on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Upon an objection by email with the subject line "Objection to data processing" to the blog's contact email address, we will confirm that Optibg.com performs no processing of IP addresses of its own (and has nothing to cease on its part); the technical processing by Cloudflare itself continues, as it is strictly necessary for delivering the content you have explicitly requested — the only alternative for a visitor who does not wish this is not to use the website;
Right to lodge a complaint — if you consider that the processing of data violates the GDPR, you may lodge a complaint with the Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP): 2 Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov Blvd., Sofia, Bulgaria (www.cpdp.bg), as well as with the supervisory authority of your country of habitual residence (Art. 77 GDPR);
Right to check on automated processing — Optibg.com does not make decisions affecting you based solely on automated processing, including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR does not apply). If you wish to verify this, send an enquiry in the manner described above.

Data security

The website is protected by the necessary mechanisms. In the event of a personal data breach, Optibg.com will assess the breach in accordance with the GDPR and, where notification is provided for by law, will notify the Commission for Personal Data Protection without undue delay and, where feasible, no later than 72 hours after becoming aware of the breach (Art. 33 GDPR). Affected individuals will be informed without undue delay in the cases provided for by law — where the breach is likely to result in a high risk to their rights and freedoms (Art. 34 GDPR); where individual notification would involve disproportionate effort, a public announcement will be made on the website.

Changes to the policy

Optibg.com and its team reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time, publishing these changes on the website in due time.
